About

John Yungclas, LMT

Licensed Massage Therapist · Senior Instructor, Berkana Institute · Certified Yoga Instructor

“My path to massage therapy wasn’t a straight one. I spent nearly two decades as an elementary school teacher in Colorado, Germany, Singapore, and the Czech Republic — and I loved it. But over time I felt a pull toward something different. I wanted to work with people in a more personal way, to help them feel better in their bodies and find more balance in their lives. Massage therapy turned out to be the perfect place for all of that.

I trained at the Berkana Institute of Massage Therapy here in Denver, where I got to immerse myself in a wide range of bodywork modalities — Swedish massage, myofascial therapy, deep tissue normalization, trigger point therapy, Thai yoga therapy, sports massage, craniosacral normalization, shiatsu, and Mindful Expressionism®. I loved it so much that I stayed on as a senior instructor, which means I’m constantly learning alongside the next generation of therapists.

I’m also a certified yoga instructor, and that practice has given me a deep understanding of how the body moves, holds tension, and finds ease. I think it makes me a better therapist — and honestly, a more present one. I care a lot about really listening, both to what you tell me and to what your body is communicating on the table.

Every session I do is different because every person is different. My goal is simply to meet you where you are and help you feel better — whatever that looks like for you.

To schedule a session, just call or text me at 303-898-5994. I’d love to hear from you.”

“John is highly attentive, attuned and curious…coaxing muscles out of adhesion and into elastic motion. A master muscle whisperer!”
